Hello,

I have over 4k credits pending (I think that's quite a bunch). What could be the reason why my WU's aren't processed any faster then this?

My PC,

Regards.

Looking at some of the WU's that are pending for you; I notice it is your machine that is not reporting back the results... The other matching Xeons are waiting for your machine to hand in the results... Are you piling up for a flush or something?

I have no WU's waiting to be reported.
All WU's for Leiden are in state "Ready to start" or are running.

Can you give an example of such a WU?

Pending credit is now under 3k, so it is a bit better.

You mean something like this one? I finished it and it was resend to my PC?

Strange. Maybe I should reset the project.

One thing to keep in mind is that LC requires a 'wingman' to report back on every WU before the WU can go to validation and have credit granted to the hosts which ran it successfully.

However, unlike most other projects, LC will sometimes send the second task in a WU to another one of your hosts (if they are the same type of CPU), and occasionally it will even send the second result of the initial replication to the same host depending on what the project has onhand for work for the various processor families at any given time.

In your case it looks like (based on the same you provided) you may have had a run of WU's where it was your host which was going to run both tasks for the WU. Obviously, this means you're going to have to wait until the second task completes and is returned before the WU can validate.

Hello M: I initiated processing for LC on 20 July at 21:15:50 and have already crunched and reported the results for over 420 tasks; I noticed however that validation is very slow to occur: Just checked and found 202 tasks in the "credit pending" category with "claimed credits" of 2268.72 and waiting validation. I have had no particular problem(s) with uploading and reporting of results to your server. My account number is 22574 and my four computers and 12 cpus are open for you to look at if you desire.

AN UPDATE: About 23 hours have passed since my report above and I now have completed over 458 tasks, of which 254 are credit pending; you might notice that the tasks waiting validation are increasing as a percentage of total work reported and acknowledged. Perhaps it would be worthwhile for someone to take a look at the server. There is much red at the server site but I am not technically qualified to say what the red outages mean in total.

Bill: Still In VERY HOT Texas!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Servers are running fine; the red is because the two machines are redundant and are able to do a fail over if the other is down...
