That statement from my messages option of BOINC manager is hard to accept. There are currently 200 tasks available under server status but they are committed to other platforms??? I have four platforms with 12 cpus varying from 1.94 to 2.66 ghz and I am to believe my computers don't qualify to accept work. There is a problem here Administrator!!

Hi,

the work is assigned a HR-class and only scheduled by the feeder into the shmem table if the scheduler expects these type of hosts to request for work.It could be that you are requesting work in a period in which the scheduler assigns a higher priority to other HR-classes based on previously encountered hosts, their turn-around time, activity and production. Try again requesting some work and your types of HR-classes will gain increased scheduling priority faster!

Not exactly the same, but similar.

9/21/2009 1:45:48 AM Leiden Classical Message from server: (won't finish in time) Computer on 99.4% of time, BOINC on 99.9% of that, this project gets 2.3% of that

I am not crunching for all the projects that the PC that this message came from. It would be able to accept several WU's and still have time to mix projects. Although it is try that this PC with 50+ projects listed shows that each one only gets 2.27% of the CPU, only about 10 projects are currently active and crunching work.
I think that whomever wrote the last WU's check process for Leiden needs to amend their query.

H'mmm this is new... we didn't change anything on the server back-end here... I think this must be a client issue?

I'm not sure there is a problem; CPUs (ranging from 1.94 to 2.66 Ghz) are all running a different OS as in Windows versus Linux versus BSD versus OSX? Are they all different types of CPUs as in 486s, Pentiums, P3, P4, celeron, opetron, etc.? That's what is meant with 'other platforms'.
