My old http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=129172 was re-setup with newer OS etc., and the new one http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=137502 is listed. But, when I try to do a merge on the latter, it doesn't give me the former as an option. How come? Visually, everything listed is a match, although in both cases the CPU seems to have been misspelled as "GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepinng9]]". Maybe that mini-corruption in the name is causing a mismatch. If so, can an admin please fix both manually to be "GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9]"?

Thanks
Tuna

Incidentally, I had the same problem in Einstein@Home, and after the admin manually fixed the misspelling in the database, merging the two machines worked like a charm!

Hmmmm.... I can't, yet. My hosts http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=137502 and http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/show_host_detail.php?hostid=129172 are still showing:

GenuineIntel
GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping9]]

and

GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepinng9]]

respectively. I underlined the differences and misspellings. Even the double bracket at the end seems to cause a problem, plus the missing space before 9. Weird.

The correct full entry for both machines should be:

GenuineIntel
Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9]

mysql> update host set p_model="Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770S CPU @ 3.10GHz [Family 6 Model 58 Stepping 9]" where id=137502;
Query OK, 1 row affected (0.00 sec)

Now they should be EXACTLY equal....

Well, thanks for trying to help. Yes, they are now exactly the same, and that had solved the problem in other BOINC projects. However, here I still can't merge the old 129172 into the new 137502. The merging page just says "No hosts are eligible for merging with this one" when I go to the 137502's page and select "Merge this computer".

In other projects, there usually is a "Show Details" link on that page, which essentially would do a http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/host_edit_form.php?hostid=137502&detail=1, but that link is missing and manually using the proper URL to get details on why there is no match fails to show any details.

So, I have no idea why the merge is insisting on not happening here...
