Again THANKS,

My 146 can't get work now. SO, I moving them to WCG.

It is a shame I can't get work as it was a fun fast paced project that I enjoyed.

I will quit completely for now and return if we can get steady work.

Hey THANKS, that makes sense to me.

I have removed the non-working offenders and am running the 146's with success.

Okay,

please read http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/forum_thread.php?id=138#835 first.

Just wait a bit, currently a lot of work has been assigned to machines already, these need to be done first before new work can be sent out...

m.

I have read that thread several times and do not completely understand its relationship to my lack of work. I have one unit[the 146] that gets work on a consistant basis...this indicates there is work. I don't understand why the other two[ the 3000] don't.

Can some one in real simple block letters tell me what is the issue.

If I need to change boxes, I can do that as I have 40 to choose from.
I have waited :)

I have an Opteron 146 that is getting steady work. I have a pair of 939-3000 boxes that get sporatic work at best. Is there any problem here that I can address to get more steady work??? Are my computers not needed or powerful enough??? Is there a lack of work?? Are you MAD at me :D.

I really want to work this project, for the science and to help my team BUT I need steady work.

This issue has been brought up several times by myself and others. Can someone from the "Project" offer some insight on this?? PLEASE:)

I am going to put two of my crunchers elsewhere for the time being. The newest, a 146 Opteron has and is getting a lot of steady work. The two boxes in question are virtually identical 939-3000 Venice cpus. I redid the benchmark and updated both of them in hopes they would get offsetting WU's, but no go.....off to QMC:)

I am having sporatic no work issues also. Updating sometimes will get me more work, this is very distressing. It cost me electricity to sit idle.

Hi/good morning,

My work allocation/scheduling has been sporatic and sparse, at best.

I have periods of downtime with no work and I have to Update several times to get work. I have not altered anything on my boxes and the DSL is functioning OK on other projects.

Is there a periodic problem with the server or can I do something to help??

Thanks,
mike
