Your message is quite a bit offensive imho.
Have you checked the news section on the home page?
If no, fine and byebye.
If yes, proove it.
LC is actively being used by Leiden University students. And no, I'm not one of them (a bit old I'm afraid), and neither am I connected in any way with that university.

As mentuioned in your logs, it's a temporary problem, and usually the cause is local. Hence restarting boinc services might solve it.
Just make sure all boinc and Leiden activity is stopped before restarting. On Linux use 'ps -ef' to check for hanging processes, for Windows download the SysInternals Suite (cfr MS site or google) and use pslist, pskill.
3) Message boards : : Number crunching : your platform is not supported by this project
Posted 1310 days ago by ColdRain
I have 40+ pc's running XP SP3 and crunching LC. So that can't be the culprit.
When I browse your hostpage, I don't see anything in the field "cpu type". Makes me wonder what home-brewed cpu type you might have ;-)
If the project can't 'read' your cpu type, it cannot know if it is supported, hence it's unsupported. That's what I think happened here.

Setting the cache to 10 days is of no use since the project expects work back within 4 days of sending it.
Check http://boinc.gorlaeus.net/sharedmemory.php to see if there is work for your OS - cpu combination (1st table).

All devices get work again. No full buffers yet, but the situation clearly is better now.

About all my pc's ran dry: "no work" since 2 days (sunday).
I'm seeing similar messages on different fora.
Something wrong?

Then don't add a link using the [url] tags.

I didn't use those tags, I tried to post a linux script. Tried with and without code tags, at no eval.

Tried several times to reply, useless.

... and thus a higher failure rate due to bad libs is expected anyway if you realise that most Linux machines are 'oldies' compared to windows machines

You suspect it's hardware related?
Because even the newest RHEL5 doesn't have the required libs out-of-the-box.
10) Message boards : : Number crunching : WU @ 100.01%
Posted 1955 days ago by ColdRain
Same with this wu.
If I restart boinc, the wu starts counting again at 99.8% or so, counts to 100% in 10 seconds, and then stays there for hours.
Recently I also get a lot of "client errors". Looking at the result pages, the errors mainly are "Maximum CPU time exceeded" and:
Unhandled Exception Detected...

- Unhandled Exception Record -
Reason: Breakpoint Encountered (0x80000003) at address 0x7C901230

Engaging BOINC Windows Runtime Debugger...

Edit: it's on all my clients, both linux and windows afaik. I noticed something was wrong when my daily credit dropped from 30 K to 8K ...
